Celebrating More Than Sport

The Closing Ceremony gathered athletes, organisers, volunteers, and supporters to celebrate not just the winners, but everyone involved in making the event a success. EUSA officials and local dignitaries, including Mr. Liviu Matac, Inês Carvalho, Ricardo Nora, Carlos Magalhães, and Carina Duarte, joined in presenting medals and commemorating the occasion.

One of the evening’s most symbolic moments came with the passing of the EUSA flag to Universidad Camilo José Cela, host of the next European Universities Championship in Madrid, Spain. This handover officially concluded this year’s event and looked ahead to the excitement of 2027.

A dedicated team of over 30 volunteers—local and international—worked tirelessly to support the event’s smooth operation. Their commitment and energy helped create a welcoming, well-organised atmosphere praised by all attendees.

Off the court, participants and guests enjoyed cultural events, social gatherings, and the warm hospitality of the host city, enriching the experience far beyond the matches.

From surprising upsets to emotional victories, the 2025 European Universities Padel Championship was packed with moments that will be remembered for years to come. With eyes now set on Madrid 2027, the journey of European university sport continues—stronger, prouder, and more united than ever.
